 My Sailing background

I started sailing at 5 years old with my father crewing in boats such as the GP14  and Enterprise. I moved on to Mirrors with my brother Clive before stepping into  the Laser at 14.

I followed the youth program in the Laser and the 420 and was lucky enough to become a member of the Laser National Youth Squad coached by Jim Saltonstall MBE. I spent a number of years competing on the Laser circuit before developing my skills across a wide variety of dinghy classes and keelboats including the Etchell and X one design. My results include top 3 placings at championships in both dinghy’s and keelboats including winning the inaugural Captain’s Cup in he XOD fleet at Cowes Week in 2002 and 2007.
